As my mandolin banjo is a bit old and knackered, and probably was a load of cheap rubbish to start with, I think I should learn on a new mandolin. That way I'll know if the buzzing and dead strings are down to my playing or the state of the instrument! The old one can then be broken out occasionally for curiosity value.
This one is also a cheap load of rubbish - only 55 quid - but at least it's a new cheap load of rubbish...
