Aaarrgh!!!
Aug. 1st, 2007 07:17 pmLast week my landlord's agents wrote to me saying they wanted to come round and inspect the flat today at 12.30. This suited me, as I wanted to show them some things that need repairing, and as it happens I'm not at work this week. So I waited in for them.
And waited. And waited.
At ten past two I rang them to be told there'd been a change of plan, and they'd contacted their tenants to ask them to re-arrange. No one had contacted me - by post, phone, email, nada. And I know if they'd emailed my work address they'd have got an autoreply saying I wasn't there.
They said someone would ring me to arrange another time. No one has rung. Of course.
In other news, the police were out this afternoon (together with their ersatz auxiliaries the Community Support Officers) harassing kids in the street and on the buses, demanding to know what they were doing outside (it's the school holidays and the sun is shining, they should be outside!) - apparently kids aren't allowed out now even when they shouldn't be in school; and people wonder why they're all obese and addicted to computer games... *le sigh*
