Holiday Reading
Dec. 5th, 2005 01:09 amI have been having the last week off work. I have therefore availed myself of the opportunity to read some books. I have read Murderers and Other Friends and Rumpole and the Penge Bungalow Murders by John Mortimer, and In the Company of Cheerful Ladies and The Sunday Philosophy Club by Alexander McCall Smith. They were enjoyable.
In case anyone should think me middlebrow, I have also made a start on One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez. I must however say that it appears to me that Mr Márquez may have been indulging in some of the most famous product of his native Colombia when he wrote this book...
