Now there's a surprise...
Jul. 8th, 2005 12:15 pmI see that Armed Forces Minister Adam Ingram's response to George Galloway's comments (along much the same lines as mine of yesterday) was to accuse him of 'dipping his poisonous tongue in a pool of blood.'
So as usual, reasoned criticism of the Government's policies is met with... personal abuse! The classic response of those who don't actually have any arguments to advance.
Jack Straw's comment is particularly cretinous, although that's no surprise with him. In case you hadn't noticed, Jack, Britain wasn't attacked in September 2001. America was attacked because of its Middle East policy. We only became a target after you and Tony decided to join in Bush's 'War on Terror'.
And guess what? If you start a war, you have to expect the other side to fight back. Just like everyone said at the time they would, only you weren't listening.
