JESUS H CHRIST ON A BIKE!!!

I now have the following on my desk:

• a pile of files a foot high requiring my attention;
• a pile of letters four inches thick, also requiring my attention;
• a pad with half a dozen telephone messages needing replies;
• eleven emails in my inbox also needing replies;
• forty-eight reminders on the computer for files that need action.

A wad of new files three inches thick was in my in tray this morning.

And now the boss wants me to write her an advice on the overlap between judicial review and the Ombudsman's jurisdiction.

When exactly do they expect me to do all this???

I was pissed off enough already after having to break up a fight on the Tube last night...
